Sydney Airport T1 + T2 + T3, Amenity Upgrades

Amenities that support ‘travelling in style.’

Taking cues from high-end residential, our Interiors team collaborated with Sydney Airport on the design for refurbishment of eight new tactile, comfortable bathroom facilities at Sydney’s T1 International and T2 + T3 Domestic Airports.

Its intuitive composition, warm palette and incorporation of natural light creates a unique experience fit for all travellers—a new benchmark for Sydney Airport. Proof of concept and design development were delivered within a live terminal environment, a baseline amenities concept fit for future implementation across Sydney Airport’s sites.

Inclusive to its core

Comfort is central to the scheme, incorporating noise-reducing surfaces and warm finishes—perfect for all passengers, including those with hidden disabilities. Larger capacity amenities offer adult accessible changing facilities and gender-neutral bathrooms, while more generous parent rooms offer quality baby changing areas, private feeding rooms, microwaves, and hot water taps.

Quality and sustainability, hand-in-hand

Intimate, concealed LED lights help to reduce energy usage—while low usage fittings and efficient heat pumping infrastructure ensures water is used sparingly. Design adaptively builds on existing assets to more energy-efficient systems, supporting Sydney Airport’s transition to a more circular approach to asset management. The scheme employs natural daylight which adjusts accordingly to the time to day.
