St Mark’s College STEM Centre and Gymnasium

This two-stage project for St Mark’s College in Port Pirie involved the adaptive reuse of the College’s existing single-court gymnasium into a state-of-the-art senior school STEM centre that includes four science teaching areas with associated support spaces.

Utilising the height of the existing gymnasium, the laboratories and learning areas are stacked at the rear, creating a striking double-height entrance and informal learning area.

The construction of a new double-court indoor gymnasium adjacent to existing outdoor courts establishes a hub that supports a range of sports and community uses. The new gym building includes an office, physical education and multi-purpose classrooms, canteen, storage, and change amenities.
