Staff have nicknamed the floor design at Royal Women’s Hospital, based on Japanese cherry blossom, the ‘tree of life’. This state-of-the-art facility in Melbourne is one of Australia’s largest hospitals for specialist women’s and neonatal paediatric health services, integrating infrastructure and support service of Royal Melbourne Hospital, in the 260-bed facility. It is designed to put the comfort of women and their babies first, with generous natural light, fresh air, a welcoming hotel-style entry.
