DesignInc Adelaide Studio
With the growth of the DesignInc Adelaide team, the demand for a variety of different working spaces required us to relocate to a larger tenancy. We designed a unique studio environment tailored to our collaborative way of working with embedded flexibility responsive to evolving work practices that support creativity and teamwork. The aesthetic and ergonomic details enhance the functional design and reflect the values of our people and practice. Exposed building services provide an ongoing learning tool for graduates.
A supportive, inquisitive process is at the core of how we work in the DesignInc Adelaide Studio. We collectively focus on growing ideas into integrated best-for-project solutions. In designing a new studio, we began by challenging our thinking in how we use space. We considered areas that add the most value to our daily activities and identified zones underutilised in our existing fitout. We generated discussions about how the built environment could improve creativity and interactions within the studio.

We proposed that the activities of our studio should be front and centre, showcasing the way we work. By reducing our traditional reception to a compact service desk we were able to enlarge our working space to include collaboration benches, breakaway spaces, quiet rooms and a purpose-built virtual reality suite. A large kitchen, social spaces and a staff entry with lockers service our team.
