Stephen Webb is a design architect with more than 25 years’ experience in architecture and urban design. He provides strategic design advice across DesignInc projects, contributing conceptual ideas, visual communication, peer review and mentoring.
Formerly Design Director of DesignInc Melbourne, Stephen played a key role in shaping the practice’s integrated design approach while leading the development of design concepts across projects in health, research, education and civic sectors.
Stephen is recognised for his commitment to biophilic and restorative design, advocating for an approach that positions buildings and urban environments as extensions of the natural environment. His work focuses on improving people’s quality of life through design, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, wellbeing and connection to place.
Glenroy Library has been awarded a commendation in the 2024 Library Design Awards by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). This recognition is a testament to the innovative design and community-centric approach of Glenroy Community Hub, which houses Australia’s first Passive House-certified library and community building.
