Ian Armstrong
A fascination with cities led me into town planning and urban design. Curiosity about what drives urban forms and ‘places’ led me into architecture. In practice, I apply all three.
A registered architect, urban designer and town planner of over 25 years’ experience, Ian brings a unique skill set to his overview of projects. He has led teams delivering complex public sector and private projects in Australia and internationally. Among these are masterplans for clients in China, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Kazakhstan.
As a specialist in large-scale urban communities, mixed-use developments, rail infrastructure, master planning, development assessments and planning controls, his nuanced knowledge of the inputs and their interrelationship makes his perspective invaluable.
