SAP: Sustainability in Practice
Architects have significant responsibility for greenhouse gas emissions generated by the building sector. To address this, DesignInc Melbourne is pleased to share our Sustainability Action Plan (SAP).
Reconciliation Australia has welcomed DesignInc Melbourne to the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) program with the formal endorsement of our inaugural Reflect RAP.
At DesignInc Melbourne, we think of Reconciliation as a shared journey that involves everyone.
We are grateful to Reconciliation Australia for their help and guidance as we walk together, side by side, on this journey towards reconciliation.
In the Reflect stage of our RAP, we commit to building relationships within our local Wurundjeri and surrounding communities of the Eastern Kulin Nation and Bunurong, Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wadawurrung peoples.
Our RAP is a commitment to supporting the uplifting of First Nations’ histories, cultures, and peoples. We will action this throughout Victoria and other places where we work by engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and seeking their contributions to our work.
Our vision for reconciliation is founded on the principles of listening, learning, and showing respect for First Nations peoples. We acknowledge the wrongs of the past and want to work together towards to heal each other. Many steps, big and small, are required to achieve this vision.
