A first principles approach to demonstrate how better quality housing could be developed in parallel with better neighbourhood amenity along with integrated sustainable public, private and affordable housing.
Proposals included recycling existing towers and new medium density housing and urban integration into adjoining neighbourhoods. 752 public housing units and 1088 private/affordable units were proposed in the original master plan.
Stage one of the master plan included approximately 200 units over four interconnected buildings. The project was designed using modular system methodologies however the main contractor elected to use a traditional construction method.
