Deakin University School of Nursing and Midwifery

The Deakin BSREP project Stage 1D falls within the umbrella Burwood Space Relocation and Efficiency Project (BSREP) and provides offices and student support spaces for the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

The project refurbishes space both on the ground floor and Level 1 of Building W at the Deakin Burwood Campus. Accommodation on the Ground Floor includes a new student administration office with associated reception area designed and located to provide a welcoming and accessible school identity. A student Lounge and breakout area is provided opposite the reception to allow students to relax and congregate prior to exams on level 1.

The offices have been designed to provide both a mix of open plan and enclosed offices arranged around a staff break-out room.

The Teaching Space on level 1 is designed to replicate a home environment allowing students to participate in simulated clinical practise.
The amenities located on the ground floor are included for a full upgrade of all fixtures, fittings and finishes. The existing entrances and stair are to be upgraded for compliance.
