George Wong

The Christchurch Airport redevelopment needed an innovative scheme that kept the existing terminals safely operational during construction and minimised the new terminal footprint.

George has led multidisciplinary teams in defence and aviation sectors for over 20 years, and is an admired innovator in this heavily regulated environment.

Prior to joining DesignInc's Sydney studio, George led the redevelopment of Christchurch International Airport, the largest single engineering project on New Zealand's South Island at the time.

His focus is working with clients to crystallise the aspirations of a brief, and ensuring they are not lost in the rigorous processes of design development, budget and project management.
